Never had to use 4LO. The stock tires on these 20" are crappy snow tires. They are all season, nice and quiet on the highway, but don't do boo in the snow/ice. I can hardly keep traction with 4HI let alone in 4LO.



I usually shift into neutral while rolling at a slow speed, then change it to 4LO and after it stops blinking shift it back into drive. Do this again to shift of out 4LO.

You can shift in & out of 4HI all day long while in gear though.

 

add the 4 low to a six speed manual with the 5.7 and you will love 4 low even more with the addition off the ultra low first gear, also first gear is awsome in stop and go rush hour trafic in 2wd....But 4low is not met to go fast....only as a a granny gear..

 

Great for climbing over large rocks and up rock ledges and waterfalls. Walks right up.

 

:-( I want a 4 wheel drive. sigh.
