new to dodge
Hey eveyone just wanted to drop a note saying i just bought my 1st dodge pickup about a week ago and love it ! I hear a lot about the hemis and very little about the 5.9L, so that must be a good thing huh?

Yes,the 5.9L is a great engine,I assume that you are talking about the gas engine instead of the diesel,although either is a great choice!
The 5.9L or 360 cid engine is basically the same engine as its predicessors,the 273 ci,318 ci, and 340ci,it has been around since the early 1960's and has a tried and proven track record.the 360 ci engine replaced the 340 ci plant in 1974 and has been relatively unchanged since.The Magnum engine has different heads,roller camand A different induction system,but the basic design is the same.
The engine you have will be a bit of a gas hog,but thats to be expected with the cubic inches.With the proper care tou will get many years of good service from your Dodge! I have a 1982 3/4 ton with 216,000 on a 360!
