Default Gears

I have a 2006 Ram.. have done a few minor mods to it and am now looking to do gear. I would like to go as extreme as 4:56 but I have run into a problem. I can get the gears but I can't seem to find a tuner that can tune my Tranny for them. As I read through some of the posts I have noticed that some of you have done gears and was curious as to what tuner you used. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

On our trucks you do not have to tune anything to put in gears. The only thing you will ever have to worry about is reprogramming the speedo for a different tire if you change sizes.

By the way 4.56's rock...even with 30" tires!!!!

Our trucks don't read for the speedometer off of the gears, they do off the wheels so you don't have to adjust the speedo for gears, only tires. Also, our transmissions don't need to be tuned either for gears.

One more question, for those of you who had 4:56's what is your crusing speed on the highway and also what is your topspeed roughly?

Cruising speed or cruising RPM? I usually cruise about 85 mph or so and as far as top speed...143 according to the GPS and the pegged speedometer.

At 85mph my RPM's are about 2500... I also have 35" tires so it may be a bit higher (like 2800-3000) with a stock 30-31" tire... You'll love the gears.
