Installed my IPOD Intergration Kit from Mopar yesterday. Very straight forward and easy as can been seen by the pictures posted by The Brit. I have an '06 with the Sat & Nav unit.

I hadn't seen this mentioned but soon found outthat you lose your radio pre-sets when you plug in the IPOD. Just thought I'd pass this little bit of information along.

Later.

I did the kit and I put in the center console, because I figured it would be a much more conveient way to store it. Not to mention in these trucks the glove box is wwwwaaaayyyyyyy over there. I brought my cable all the way up and through where the power out let is. It was a tight fit for the Ipod cable and the 1/8 jack didnt make it. But I love it, especially with the rec radio- when you get used to how to navigate it is sweet.

Anyone have any idea if this would work with the iPhone or new iPod Touch?

OK I guess my laptop has blocked your photos. But I am interested in seeing them if you could repost them or send me to a site to see them.

Thanks H-

AMAZING POST!

Thanks so much for taking the time to do it. It will help me alot i can see already.

I just bought a REC GPS unit off of Ebay for my 2006 Ram 1500 and i am looking to add this IPOD adaptor as well. Just a few questions....

I have factory installed Sirius. Using this adaptor will not interfere with it in anyway, will it? I understand based on your post that you need to use Satellite channel 1 as the IPOD mode, but lets just say the other Presets are just satellite channels, does that mean they will still work fine? For example...

I am listening to my IPOD on Sat Channel 1, but then i want to listen to Satellite radio, how do you do that?

Also, someone mentioned plugging your IPOD in wipes out your presets. Is that your RADIO presets (like AM/FM) or your Satellite Presets? (Or both?)

Thanks in advance!
