Cost of a Extended Warranty Contract?
Got a question for you guys, and i am looking for as much input as possible.
I'm looking to extended my present Extended warranty contract. When i purchased my vehicle, i also purchased an extended warranty. The extended warranty cost me a total of $1290.00 for 7 years/ 75,000 Miles protection.
Now I'm presently at 69,000 Miles and i am looking to extend the contract, so i contacted a few of the dealerships in the area, and they advised me that in order to get an additional 3 years/ 36,000 Mile warranty protection, I will have to pay $2,210.00.
It seems that I'm paying more, for less coverage time.
What is your opinion?

Factory only the one the dealer offered had too many disclaimers in it.
The ones I had in the past were worthless they always had some excuse why the current problem was not covered.
Do your own maintenence (so you know it's done right) and drive the truck and save the money.

I can't believe this. Out of all the posters on here, only one person responded. Are you telling me that no one else here purchased a extended warranty for the their vehicle?
[align=left]I am thinking about getting one when my current warranty runs out in 4,000 miles. I have found several good places on the Internet. Try these: http://autopedia.com/html/Warr4.html

Good info, Thanks... By the way, what year is your vehicle, and how many miles do you have on it?
And do you have a particular company in mind? I ask because I went to the link and, and saw several companies listed.

Its more money for less time because the chance of you have a problem with your engine or tranny from 0-75,000 are small...You have a higher chance of it happening between 75,000 and 110,00 miles, compared from 0-75,000miles. thats why its more money for less time..think about it..
