I have only had the truck for 3 weeks, so bear with me.

After looking at some toys, some mention an old style body and a new style body within the 04 year, how do I know which one I have?

How the heck do I get the cover off? No snaps, 3 bars across.

you have a new body style, also known as a 3rd gen...the old body style's were 94-02 on the 1500.....

if you looking for some toys, performance wise, i would recommend a cat-back exhaust, Cold Air Intake, superchips, low temp thermostat (works way better with a programmer, such as the superchips), and of course a STS turbo system...when ya get the money

as for that type of tonneau cover, not really sure how the bars come off....i installed one once when i worked at the dealership but that's been almost 1 1/2 yrs ago....one of the other guys should beable to help ya with that

 

hemiyellow, you say the old body style includes the 02' Ram 1500? cause im pretty sure mine is the new body style, or at least it looks like it, but then again, im no expert.

Hmmm, the only change I can think of during the '04 year was to the Cummins diesel, and I don't remember what it was. '02 is new body style but the Hemi was not out yet, or was late availability for the year.

What kind of "toys" were you looking at? As for the cover, no idea. I suggest going to a truck accessory dealer that sells whatever kind of cover it is. Hopefully, they can help.

yah that's my bad, i was thinkin ahead of myself...01 was the last year of the old body style for the ram 1500 "2nd gen"

 

Toys....hmmm well I have something on the exhaust. Dont know enough about it to know exactly what it is, so I will try and take a picture and post it. I dont know if it is just an end addition or something like the cat-back exhaust. I know I want the bed extender, otherwise I have just been looking at what other options might appeal to me. Grills, lights and such.

About your tonneau cover, are you trying to take it off, or put one on. If you can post a pic and I could probably help more.

 

Take it off...but I will eventually have to put it back ontoo [sm=smiley2.gif]
