I still remember telling my mother how fast her old Cordoba would go.... About ten years later. Lots of good burnouts with that car, but nothing like slamming it in drive, although 727's were bulletproof for stock engines.

I wrapped the speedo past the 100mph almost back to the zero. That'd be about 130-135 I guess.
One high speed accident and a few years later, I was scared to even try that with my 440ci Cordoba.

I allow my son to take my truck to town to go to meetings, or to the store will quick. I have faith in him that he will not do anything like that. Well he knows that if he does do anything like that it will be the last thing he everdoes . All though with the power of a cummins the black smoke plume is much better. There are some kids around town that drive there parents SUV's and try to see how far they can fly over railroad tracks. FYI, I have seen some try and they fly pretty far, lol.

02redqc, when I was 16 my mom used to let me take out her lexus gs300 and my dad always let me take his 5.9 ram and I never did anything like that, never even burned out or fish tailed in either. Only vehicles I ever drove like an idiot were things I paid for so you can raise kids to respect things they don't pay for. I actually have more respect for other people's belongings than my own.....
True that man i'm 18 and my dad let me drive home his new 06 RAM 1500 from the dealer lot last wednesday and I drove my moms 06 Escape the same day we got it and drive both by myself alot. Not the ram yet since only had it so long but his 04 sierra before that i drove a lot

BenD I don't believe it would be6 grand.
The rev limitter kicks in way below that figure, when reving in neutral.
That's a safguard feature set by software in the PCM.
It was probably around 3 to 3500 rpm.
However your right. It's still WAY too much to just slam it in drive.
That kid needsan as* kickin'.
I bet his dad eventually see's that video on UTube..............
Ha ha ha, now that would be a laugh!!!!!
A posting on UTube of a kid gettin' his as* handed to him.
O didn't know the hemi had that feature never drove one but same difference really anything off idle and I woudln't throw it into gear to tell the truth

i dont think it was a hemi. i didnt see a badge on the fender, but i could have missed it. whatever he had in it, it was a weak one wheel peel. and on my truck when in neutral or park, the rev limiter kicks in at 4000.

But I'm guessing he was in the truck with you right?
Or at least following close behind.
I doubt even a 16 yr old would do something like this with his father nearby or even watching.
That is, unless some dill-brained dad told him to do it.

It doesn't look like a father raised that kid though, looks liek MTV did with all the yo's he's throwing around and hand gestures. He's like Vanilla Ice.
