Default Consumer Automotive Theory

I have a major theory/set of theories that I'm going to cover because I feel they are more essential to our lives more and more everyday than we realize. To be more effective, I'm pointing out that many things are withing our direct senses, so we don't notice them so easily. In fact, might be letting them slip by because we don't really take the time to think about what all we don't see happening here and right now.
These arguments I'm going to make is taken from a very patriotic/conservative perspective, so realize this as you continue on.
Someone telling me they get 38 mpg on the highway isn't boasting to me. It's saying "I'm a bitch to this new age import BS" (assume here we're not talking about an American vehicle). Don't get me wrong, better fuel economy is a great thing, but I wouldn't give up having a truck/V8 for great mpg (that is subjective, I know, but I imagine many of you browsing in this specific board are biased toward this side anyways, so I'm getting off easy perhaps). The American economy is real, even though we can't see it our touch it. U.S. jobs are becoming less actual getting work done and more services for the countries that do the work (i.e. Japan). Maybe this isn't a bad thing. A lot just comes down to your own natural inclinations (whether you are of liberal or conservative nature). Whatever the case, what is most important I suppose is that unemployment is almost zero (ideally).
Why should our nation have more "non-our cars" than "our cars"? Because other nations (i.e. Japan) has "better cars"? I apologize if I overuse quotation marks and parenthesis, call it my style. We've always been proud as a nation of what we have, of what we've accomplished, generally speaking. American car manufacturers are working their tales off just to stay competitive with foreign auto makers, because the second they [foreign] "jump in the lead", we displace our loyalty and instead of invensting in the American auto makers to improve, we shift to the imports. Don't we prefer our vehicles to be the best? As a nation, if we did, we'd invent in them therefore pumping the auto economy. Cars don't drive themselves. You're not really the audience I should be preaching to, but there you have it. Go and educate the people that don't think! That's a whole other argument that I won't go into detail about, but think less for themselves more and more. "Things outside our own minds" do the thinking, whether it be the government, gossip, etc. Inversely, Americans are more than ever instant-gratifying themselves, and therefore think less because they don't calculate what is good for the long run. Whether you live everyday just one day at a time or not, you still can't be so ignorant as to not plan for a good/better future, because when tomorrow comes, you don't want it to suck! You see that what you are doing workings day after day, so it becomes a habit.
To conclude things, I want to add that "you" commonly refers to the average American, which is generated in my mind, and note, the average American is going in a direction I don't like, in the direction of less patriotism and pride of nationalism to "who gives a f**k?" Sorry for the terminology, but media has changed the direction of our youth so much in the past 15 or 20 years that there's no way of telling how the parents and adults peers 15+ years down the right will drive this nation. Chaos theory simplified might be describe as asserting that "everything effects everything, which in turn effects everything moreover, therefore creating a change of exponential proportions". Choices more often "snowball" than "trickle down through the system".
Thanks for hearing my Consumer Automotive Theory. I'm just a simple student at Univ. of Missouri-Rolla, Computer Engineer-Electrical Engineer Dual-Major. If I proficiently communicated the message I wanted you guys to comprehend, I achieved what I wanted. More of this is perhaps just food for thought, ideas and concepts to push higher thinking and make good decisions. Most of all, I want people to loose their ignorance. If you make decisions based on high detail, that's fine. Making ignorant decisions is as good as "winging-it", which you might as well be rolling die.

P.S. The greenhouse effect is blown out of proportion. Remember how at one time the earth was in an ice age? No one now can say whether the earth's climate overall in 100+ years from now won't be 20 degrees cooler than it is now. The earth goes through phases (for example, earth's polarity changes every what, 200 years +/- 100 years?). I'm not saying burn loads of oil and plastic, but realize that there is a lot of propaganda and "stuff that people want you to here and believe".

Thanks.
Long live Chrysler and the magnificient American V8!

We need to stop worying about other countries and start worrying about this one. People in NOLA sleeping in tents for two years after Katrina and 315 billion dollars spent TRYING to make Iraq a democracy. Think about it..........

I agree with you there bohoram. Why would I want to "invest" $30 a month to sponsor a kid in whatever country when I have my own children to think about. Selfish, maybe, but I have very selective view on the sanctity of life... mainly my family's and my own. If these other countries really gave a ****, wouldn't they take care of their own?? Is it any wonder that America is the "melting pot" of the world? And on global warming. No offense to those of you on the coast, but I live at an elevation of around 5000 feet near Yellowstone. I'm more worried about it exploding than I am the oceans rising or the temperature dropping, and even then, not too worried.

PS. You'll never catch my *** in anything that wasn't made under the Stripes. God Bless America and those who break their necks to make her what she is, not 60 mpg.

Just remember, Toxic Al Gore just won an oscar, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck, Dianneand the rest of the left gang are trying to assimilate us all into their San Fran ideals. We need some big changes all across the spectrum before we sell out the whole country. This is just plain screwed up!
Just my opinion

Why do you call Al Gore toxic? Because he is passionate about making the world a safer place. You call him toxic but I guess Bush is alright to you? He falsified documents and lied to congress and the American people in order to launch the "settle the score"war, remember he said he wants revenge because Saddam put a bounty on Bush seniors head? Now look at that country, total shambles, it is a war we already lost.
