i just got a dodge 4.7 reg cab i just wanted to know what does it run stock and what things should i buy to get at least 14's out of it

If you have a 3.22 or 3.55 rear end, it will be difficult to get a 14 out of the 4.7. Start by adding cold air intake, high-flow exhaust, new computer, and maybe eventually headers. This is all if you don't have the 3.22 especially.

 

by a new computer what do u mean

 

New gears (4.10 or 4.56), Superchip, H.O. Cam, maybe even an STS Turbo, but I'm assuming that if you can afford that, you would have got the Hemi.

 

The KRC performance supercharged 4.7 liter only runs 14's so it will take a few dollars. Check out www.airram.com that guy has about the fastest N/A 4.7 there is.

 

I would go with a flowmaster 50 series, just a muffler replacement since they already run 3" pipes on the 4.7, order the airram powercable and do something with the CAI. Personally my next project will be an electric fan, underdrive pully and iridium spark plugs. Someday I will get to the headers and a 4.56, for now though my 3.92 does pretty good.

 

why ???? You could have bought the hemi in a reg cab, the 4.7 is a dam good engine but best suited for a Dakota if your looking for 14 sec 1/4 mile times.
