i just got a dodge 4.7 reg cab and i just wanted to know what does it run stock and what do i need on it to make it run 14's

Probably high 16's low 17's. You'll need gears, 4.56's more than likely, and a posi, a set of headers, high flow Y-pipe, exhaust system (cat-back), Throttle body, Intake system, a programmer (depending on your year), maybe some slicks, electric radiator fan, cams, tonneau cover, and a led foot.

OR maybe buy a sports car, not a truck.. Just a thought

 

its a 2006 but it would't be better if i put the 3.55 or no

 

3.55 is a highway gear.. It probably has 3.55's in it now.

 

Almost guaranteed it has 3.55's. Mine does... but not for long. 4.56 will give you the accel. you need but forget about top speed.

 

That's not true.. I can still hit the speed limiter @ 105mph with my 4.56's.. And it has a lot more left in it.

 

I think mine has a 3.22, the torque converter is slippier than what trucks typically are driving around in the city, seems like it goes against the purpose. 3.22 is too low in my opinion for a 4.7L V8. Right around 4 seems pretty well balanced for highway and performance.

 

3.22's are not options on our trucks. it's 3.55 3.92 4.10 4.56 4.88

 

The new dodges have 3.21's

 

They are 3.21's and I think they are only options on the short bed V6's..
