I can answer some of the questions about the propane conversion. As I stated this is the first Dodge that I have owned so the other pickups were Fords and Chevy. There are options on where to put the tank. I went with the cheapest. I got a 64 gallon ( 80 gallons, but you fill to 80%) pickup tank that mounts in the back of the truck. It takes up about as much room as those cross bed tool boxes everyone has.Since mine is a bifuel set up I needed to keep the regular gas tank. Manchester tank has options for tanks that replace fuel tanks or can be mounted other areas. I have $40 in my used tank.
Power--- I guess the safest statement to make is that it is the same. I know propane has higher octane, but burns slower. On a few of the ones I have driven you could swear you had more power on propane, but not much. Now the old conversions, that had carbs and no computers, had less power for sure.
Fuel milage-- This is hard to figure out. The industry claims on new systems is 1.1 gallon of propane to go the same distance as 1 gallon of gas. So that is 10% less fuel economy. I think this pretty close. For some reason the Chevy I talk about gets the same on propane as gas.
Cost---- My kit is made by ecofuel. I do believe it is the best one. Check them out www.ecofuel.com My kit was $2,400. This did not include the tank. I think when I am done I will have about $3,500 (installed). There is no dealer here in Wyoming so I ordered from the factory and found an installer. More on cost. gas is 2.40 here and propane is 1.65 a gallon. In the summer, when I do most of my driving gas is maybe over $3.00 this year and propane drops to near a $1.00 or $1.25. Make sure to figure in your states road tax.
I think , because of when I put most miles on it will take 40,000 to 50,000 miles to return my investment in the kit on fuel savings alone. This does not include the benefit of burning such a clean fuel that is much easier on the engine.
One more point--- something like 80-90% of propanecomes from the USA not overseas.
They also make kits for natural gas if you have that in your area.
By the way Idon't workfor any of these companies nor do I sell anything related to this. I am a fishing guide.

I'll let you knowhow the power wagon turns out. Scott

It was the Charger concept car from a few years back. Had a 4.7 with a supercharger, but I thought it ran on natural gas?

Wow...great explanations. Impressive. the 10% dont sound like much..but this is , or at least I'm hoping, my truck I will keep forever. So in the long run it sounds like it should pay off. I didnt know propane was so cheap. I got off propane grills cause I like the charcoal....so havent bought propane for a bit...but even @ 1.65....that sounds great....whoda thunk...1.65 sounding great for fuel [&:]

Thanks for all the info and the Link!

Take care.

P.S.

I checked link..dont see dodge..

A Hemi or 5.9 V8 running on LPG/Propane
could probably handle a 12 to 1 compression ratio.
MPG would probably go up 10% or more.
HP and Torque go up 7% or more.

I know that this has nothing to do with the topic, well maybe a little. But it does remind of of this.
