I read in a magazine some time ago (like 6-8 years ago maybe) that some vehicles (trucks, cars? I don't remember) in Europe that were running LPG conversions were getting about equal performance to gas, but the one thing that sticks out in my mind is they were claiming getting "diesel-like" longevity out of these engines. I'm thinking the article featured some vehicles with 300-400k miles on them.
Anybody else hear any such talk about this type of longevity?

Question: Why does it cost me $2.20 a gallon to fill up my propane tank at the house for my water heater and stuff?
Question: How come its $1.50 per gallon everywhere else?

Usually water heaters run on natural gas...
I tried to contact the ecofuel.com and they never responded to me. I want to know if its a plug and play system or do we really need a professional to install it?
I sure they charged you atleast 400-600 dollars for the install thats money i can put towards a super chip or just my pocket. Can you tell me the price paid for the kit itself and if you think it can be installed easily?

Exhaust sounds EXACTLY the same.
It's very difficult to install yourself and here in the UK, it must be done by a government approved fitter.
I don't know where in the US you could buy one.

Default Interested in propane conversion Power Wagon

When coolant temp and O2 sensors are warm it automatically switches to propane. On a Chevy with the same system you get about 3,000 miles on a tank of gasoline, so it is not running on gasoline for a very long time. Thanks
Was thinking of doing this conversion. How is it going? How is it in the snow?
Any Power Loss?
Thanks

Propane will show a slight power loss to gasoline.
