Exclamation Lights, lights and more lights. *Pic Crazy* 24 pics

Okay, so I did my HID retrofit using the TRS(TheRetrofitSource) Fx-r Bi-xenon projectors. Gen 5 Matsush*ta Ballasts, Philips D2S 4300k bulbs. The HID 4300k made my fogs 9006 Silverstars look too yellow. Since the fogs are flood beam pattern and projected towards the ground, I decided to install a set of HIDExtra 9006 5000k P'n'P kit. Looks fabulous. Very bright coming outta that halogen housing! That's not the end of it. I decided to install reverse lights up under the rear bumper because I had a hard time backing up last week delivering some wood. It was so black out, I couldn't see past the rear bumper. I had 2 pairs of foglights in the basement so i took the black pair and swapped the 35w stockers for some 55w bulbs that originally came with the Hella's. i installed a foglight on both sides. I mounted them directly to the leaf psring near the shackle.

So the Hella bulbs are 100w yellow, but have an ion Amber coloring to them naturally and then when turned on, they look very white when up close, but against a wall there is a rainbow effect. When from afar looking at them they are yellowish, but perfect. Not too yellow.

i must say, these Fx-r projectors have awesome color out of the box. i made no changes to the cut-off shield or spacing of the bulb. Just slap and go. They have done a kick a$$ job getting their stuff in order. Top notch. Highly reccomended.

Here's my reverse lights. I ran these on a seperate relay. Well, actually 2 relays..lol The reverse lights can ONLY come ON when the headlights are ON and the truck goes into reverse. If the headlights are not ON, the reverse lights won't function. I tapped into the headlight wire for that activation point and the reverse lead up on the driverside front fender towards the firewall.
Wiring schematic i created is HERE

Thanks
It can actually be very distracting, the cut-off that is....lol Cuz i look at it so much when it crosses cars/buildings. It's just so new to me I guess
The cut-off is remains clear even at 200ft.

Can't wait to use those new yeller bulbs though. The little things....lol

Nice work looks really good
I like the placement of the reverse lights I see so many attached to the bottom of the bumber or trailer hitch and look really bad. I like your idea can you take a pic from the back during the day?

Do you think the leaf spring will rattle the bulb too much and burn out?

I have those same exact fog lights from my old jeep. I like your wiring sequence too. Did you tap into the headlight wire in the front or rear?

Weird how? It's just a clear cut line compared to a blurry oem one that uses fresnel lenses as mine are clear.

I made the wiring myself. I don't have a diagram, but I could fab something up prolly.

I suppose we'll see what happens, but I doubt it. It's at the very top of the leaf spring that gets the least amount of action. i suppose if I really beat on it then they could blow, but that isn't gonna happen.

Silver, i didn't wanna paint the heads. i wanted them as OEM looking as posible. I didn't wanna attempt a color match and have a different shade plus it was enough work as-is just to get the lights done themselves.

Looks REALLY nice man!!! I have grown more and more into the HID lighting, I saw this car the other night that had these nice bright almost blueish tinted head lights with these very bright yellow fogs and it just looks sick.

I also really like those reverse lights....

Great job man!!
