We're in the same boat bro. I have an '02 with a 360. Here are a few things I did that really boosted my performance:

Superchips 3815 Tuner
New borg-warner rotor cap + rotor
MSD Ignition spark plug wires
NGK Iridium Plugs
Accel ignition coil
Straight exhaust(muffler delete)

360's respond super well to ignition upgrades.

Just with those very small mods, in my lifted ram on 37's, I keep up with a non-lifted Hemi ram, easily.

I cruise at 80mph at about 1400rpm, and she has a LOT left to go. I've gotten her to 120 on country roads, but that's as far as the speedo goes so who knows.

You could also swap in some 4:56 gearz if you want more acceleration, but I'm running stock gears at the moment.

So a tuner and ignition can overcome your 37s and the Hemi's 100hp advantage?

The ignition is a really major weak point in the old 5.9's, but he didnt even switch the ignition, he just switched out the components, I have done all of that to my 5.9, the only thing I havent done that he has is the tuner and I know my 5.9 is quick, its got 35s with a leveling kit and an add-a-leaf but I really dont think I could run down a stock hemi... Maybe that tuner will make a much larger difference than I think... although Im going with an SCT not a superchips.

I missed that he put on an accel coil, I havent done my coil yet. But even so, Accel is not the best name, Im going all MSD on my ignition.

Also, what stock gears do you have in your truck rydes? 3.55's or 3.92's? I have the 3.92's in mine and I still dont think its quick enough. Maybe next to a stock hemi with the 3.23's and some 33" tires with a load in the back...

The superchips made the biggest difference out of any mod I have ever done. It fixed the timing(deathflash fix), and performance tuned it for premium. Gears in the truck are stock. Changed rev limited to 5500 or so rpm. I am sure I kept up with the hemi. It was a red quad cab, same gen as mine, with a big *** hemi badge on it. You can tell it was a hemi by the exhaust, also. Don't underestimate the power of the 5.9. And MSD makes a coil also, but the accel coil has better numbers straight up compared side by side. My wind sail on 37's does keep up with a stock hemi with regular sized tires.

Also beats(or I should say annihilates..), a 2010 Ford F-150 V8(smoked him bad), and the infinity Q45 or whatever SUV. These are just some of the people who(i dont know why) tried and race me, this last week. For some reason b/c I have a loud exhaust everyone thinks im racing. Then I have to WOT and they **** their pants, lol.

Btw: I have NO cold air intake on my ram.

I will grab up a friend and we can make a youtube video of my ram vs. a hemi ram. Don't know who will win after about 80mph, never got that far as we were on a country road but there was a stoplight ahead of us.

and yes, i can burn rubber with 37's without holding the brake. why does this shock so many people;p had a 98 ram on 35's that could burn rubz too. was a sport w/ 6" lift and the 360.
