Ok, was finally able to take a hwy trip to Houston this weekend with just the truck, my wife and myself, no trailer full of 4 wheelers.
2009
Sport Crew 4x2
5.7l Hemi w/3.92 axle
89 octane
Truck is stock, no aftermarket anything on it (Yet)
For this trip 90% hwy, 10% city driving
Since the milage computer calculates the average miles per gallon whether it's hwy or city, total trip from the time I left until we got home averaged 17.9 mpg. At one point on the way home it was reading 18.3 mpg. I have not yet done manual calculations, only going by the onboard computer. If the manual calcs show that I truely am close to 18mpg avg then I will be very happy with the truck. Jeff.

5.7 with 3.55 gears and 20" wheels
80% highway/20% city
St. Louis, MO area
89 Octane
Hand calculation
1100 miles on truck
I'll give the average for my first 3 tanks. 15.1mpg/14.3mpg/14.3mpg
Stock right now. I have an Amsoil Ea drop in air filter to put in now and will be switching to Valvoline Synpower Synthetic oil for my first oil change here in a week or two.

On the trip from the dealer home (110 miles or so, mostly highway with rolling hills I averaged 18.9. Since then as the mix has changed more to 50/50 (thank you stop & go traffic on the highway), it's come down to 16.1.) I'm still on my 1st tank of gas.

I just got back from a test ride on I-70 east of Denver. I wanted to test just highway MPG. It is about 60 and clear today with a light breeze from the west. All windows up, no AC, tires at 40lbs (from dealer that way), stock 20" wheels, Goodyear Wrangler HP, 3.65 rear axle, 4wd running in 2wd mode, 1/2 tank of gas, running on winter oxygenated gas, no cover on bed. This stretch of highway has mild ups and downs and is fairly straight.
I noticed my MPG went up a little after I drove for about 20 miles east. Measurements are on the return trip heading west using cruise control. It runs at 1500 RPM at 60MPH and 1600 RPM at 65 MPH.
60 MPH I was getting 25MPG
65 MPH I was getting 24MPG
75 MPH I was getting 18MPG
The pattern is about like my 2007 QC with the best MPG around 60-65MPH. I am really surprised since I don't think it is fully broken in yet and we are still on the crappy winter gas. When I bought it the salesman mentioned owners were reporting about 23 MPG highway. The key to it is using cruise control. My foot just can't control it as good as the computer.
