I have been running the 24" Mufflex for over 2000 miles on my truck and mileage did not change, and no lights ever. Truck just sounds so much better now. Your dealer is full of it....

I have to agree, I am running 2 09 ram 1500's both with the Mufflex aggressive system, for over 6 months now, and the only thing it has done is made the trucks sound as good as they look.
No codes, no drop in fuel ecconomy, just some attention.
and they sound freakin awsome.

Stealthgoat, thanks for starting this thread. After reading your review and all the input, I contacted Mufflex. I have the single exhaust and they don't make the 24" for the single - don't list it, anyways. Anyhow, Denny at Mufflex said that he figured someone would end up asking for it, so when he built the single exhaust fixture/jig, he set it up to accept the 24".

Long story short, I paid no more for it than the standard sizes and hope to get it shipped by next Wednesday. I'll be sure to report back with a review. I love the louder grunts of the shorter Mufflex/Magnaflows and the suhweet sound of Doc Fluty's Borla - but lord help me - highway drone gives me a tension headache so bad on my previous truck that I ended up just throwing away the stainless steel catback exhaust I had purchased.

Yeah, them A$$ h**es at UPS bent me over for $60.00, so much for free trade. But the muffler was worth it.

Well I finally got my 24 and am really pissed off. The website says 20 minute install, they neglected to mention that you have to remove the little divots that are welded on the tailpipes and inlet pipe, they are used to align the exhaust at the factory. After grinding them off i buttoned everything up and tightened the clamps. One clamp broke at the weld, I had to use a regular muffler clamp to get by until Mufflex sends a new one or I remove the system and put my old one on. Took it for a test drive and noticed a leak, coming from where one of the aligning divots used to be. After shipping and currency conversion this muffler cost almost $400, not worth it. Really wish I had left factory axhaust on, nothing but a bloody headache.

Its too bad you had a tough time with your install and all. Mine took me about an hour, but most of the time was spent breaking the rust free from a New England winter. I think they put way too much salt down here. Anyways, I did not have any divots on the factory pipes and everything just slid together pretty easy. Maybe the factory has changed something?

They all have the alignment pins. Nobody removes them though as they are not in the way.

For the price of mufflex after shipping and handling you could go to an exhaust shop and have it all welded up. I don't really see the value in it unless you just want to DIY or be able to take it off easily.
