Chrysler buy back...
I live in Canada. ashamed to say I own a Dodge Ram truck. had all front end redone twice. Steering Box redone twice. had to drive with no power steering for 6 weeks, till dealer got parts. just hit 60,000 miles... they better do the buyback in Canada. worst vehicle I have ever owned. can't sell it , what idiot would buy it.
The ordered buy backs is a penalty by an entity of the US government and will only effect autos sold in the US. Also, these buy backs are specific to instances where FCA dragged their feet in either announcing a recall or making parts available to fix issues after issuing a recall...
I honestly don't recall - some Canadian was discussing a topic with me and he mentioned it - pretty sure either he had an article about it or I found one online. I can't recall if you could get a ticket for driving with it in while not in use or if you were just liable for some of the damage to the vehicle that rear ended you.
The province I live in (Nova Scotia) made that about 2 years ago.
Stupid as hell, people still do it.
Its to prevent more damage to the vehicle that rear ends you basically...
I havnt hear anyone get a Ticket (which is what you get) afew warning thats it.
I wondered if the Rear Hitch Steps counted as a hitch or not haha, I thought about getting one.
Does your truck fall under one of the three specific recalls that qualify?
