Chrysler buy back...
Im wondering how Chrysler calculates the buy back pay off when they buy your vehicle back. Do they pay off your loan and thats it or do they give you your down payment back?
anyone dealt with this, I need some advice...
TIA

Ill send you a PM. I dont want to publish it on the forum before my case is settled.
I'll give you the cliffnotes version:
Electrical problems galore, major factory paint defects and a botched dealership repaint....the Rep said he would start the paperwork for a factory buy back tomorrow.

That sucks man. I'm sorry to hear you are having some serious issues with your truck.
In regards to the buy back process, I believe that it is different depending on the state you live in. Some states have more strict lemon laws than others. I'd do a search on the lemon laws for your state to get some more details. I believe in some states they will allow you to opt for cash or to trade into a vehicle of equal value. The cash values they offer may vary state to state as well.
You may also want to consult a local law office for some legal advice. Having a lawyer might get you a better bargain than just trusting the dealership to handle it for you. Its up to you to decide if its worth it to you.
Don't write off the Ram completely when you consider your next vehicle. Every automaker produces 'lemons' and its just unfortunate you had to get one of them. These really are nice trucks. Good luck in your process and hopefully it will work out.

Agreed. At least they are willing to buy your truck back which is all you can ask for in regards to a lemon. Every car manufacturer from Kia to Rolls have them. They can't guarantee a new car isn't one, but what they can do is once confirmed a lemon, that they make things right which they seem to be doing.
Thanks for the advise and support guys
Chrysler has done right by me so far Im going to let this run its course. I contacted a lemon law lawyer here in TN just in case things dont go as expected. This has in no way spoiled my opinion of Dodge or Chrysler. Im am looking into another Laramie just need to be patient and see how things work out....

No lemon laws in Canada? Yet they are making it illegal to drive with your trailer ball in the hitch? What's up with that?
