New Ram Air Hood (PICS)

I would be concerned of hydolocking the engine by allowing water to get past your air filter and entering the air intake.
I'm sure the stock air box has a drain hole to prevent it from filling up with water, but the idea of teh air filter getting wet or soaked everytime water is around scares me.
Edit: I'm sure they designed the hood to have weap holes to allow water to drain out before it would see the air filter, but then you lose the opportunity to create positive pressure on the back side of the throttle body at WOT (along with the hole in the bottom of the stock air box). You have to force in more air than what the engine can suck in as a vacuum to see a performance gain, and I believe this won't occur unless you are at extreme high speeds. The gains you would see would be from the difference in air temperature outside compared the engine bay temperature which is what a cold air intake does. Your mass air flow sensor would detect incoming air temperature and adjust timing accordingly anyways.

Ram Air Hood
It comes just above the wipers, and it doesn’t hinder your "line of sight" at all.
