Talking Recon projector headlights

Hey they are finally out, has anyone got them yet, I have a lot of questions before I get em, The website says they use H1 bulbs, but that doesn't match up. how will the connector on our truck fit the h1 bulbs? I have quad lights by the way.

P.S. Beer!

Actually I just looked on ebay, and their are 2 different kinds on there from 2 different companies. One has Quad "Halo/ angel eye" lamps w/ LEDs built inside around the lamp. And both were around 275.00.

you do pay for what you get... a set of RECON lights will last a lot longer and you shouldnt have any problems. cheaper ebay lights you will probably have more issues with the leds or halo rings burning out or wiring issues.

As far as I can see the Ebay ones are identical in appearance to the Recon lights.

I had "ebay" lights on a previous vehicle and never had an issue.

You do get what you paid for....I bought a set of LED tail lights for my 2nd gen and about 2 weeks after I installed them, I started having turn signal issue's. After I "thought" I fixed the problem with new fuses, the issue came back but this time I pulled the left tail light and the connector had melted and the pins were broke. Of course, even though being a very high rated seller, they never replied to my e-mails about the light failing and I had to buy another new set but that time from someone else. So yea, not too trusting with ebay lights anymore.

ive bought $11 timer cords for my canon 5d ii camera that would cost me $180 had they had the name canon on it and they have worked for years perfectly. all the same features and buttons.. heck if you took the brand name off you prolly couldnt tell the difference from the two

Ive bought $49 ebay HID bulbs that worked just fine... sure there are some horror stories.. and i wouldnt buy tires or brakes off ebay... but speakers, floor mats and headlights always seem to work out great

i am not saying the ebay lights are bad, i really like them. i just know with the recon lights you pay for the name and the quality. if it means i have to wait an extra month or two to save for the recons i probably will. on the other hand you could always buy two sets of the ebay ones and still be a little cheaper than the recons!
