Miller light is far superior to Bud light.

Does anyone know what the negatives of driving in tow/haul mode or dropping to 5th gear is other than poor MPG's. It is impressive that the Ram still edged out the 5.0 F150 even with its handicapped transmission gear ratios. If Ram ups the anti and fixes the MDS drone issue and drops a 6 speed in could we call it the best truck out there?
The vibration if that's what you want to call it... is what you'd feel with any eight cylinder motor running on half the cylinders. If you want to feel some real vibrations, pull four plug wires off the truck you have now and you'd quickly learn to appreciate today's MDS technology. Non the less, they are all nice and they all have same thing in common...it just depends on what your purpose of purchase is in the first place. But if you have a good and trusting relationship with your current dealer and you're pleased with them, I'd stick with them regardless of which is a better. Either that just keep your current truck and wait till you get your moneys worth out of it. If you're set on getting a new one, who gives a crap what everyone else likes...get the one that appeals to "YOU"

The 6.1L Hemi pumps out tons more power than the 6.2L Ford, pretty sad really. I almost feel sorry for Ford, they are flailing in the face of the Hemi. I see you don't even own a 4rth gen Hemi, maybe your time would be better spent driving one of those and getting a taste of some real power. Sorry, F-150's remain sadly underpowered and still occupy 3rd place at the light - right where they have always been......yawn.
Since the conversation has turned to cars now (bringing up the 6.1L)... A 2011 Ford Mustang GT (5.0L) puts out 412 horsepower. A 6.1L, in the Challenger, puts out 425 horsepower. An extra 1.1L (6.1L>5.0L) for a measly 13 horsepower? A 2012 Mustang Boss 302 will be available, again with a 5.0L engine, with 440 horsepower. How is Ford "flailing in the face of the HEMI"?

Go ahead and bash me some more...it will not change the fact that the F-Series AND Ram trucks are BOTH great trucks. Oh yeah, and I am quite happy with my 3rd generation Ram thank you very much!

i think every one is getting caught up in the "which engine is better or faster aspect. i still think its crazy for the op to give up a perfectly good truck, but that is his choice. the op has to look at the hemi and and see it as a proven engine in regards to performance, reliability. and longevity.fords engines may be turn out to be just as good, past history is not in their favor, but only time will tell. the other aspect i would urge him to consider is the total package and the cost of truck. with the deals dodge is giving right now dodge can't be beat.

If you can afford it and want a new truck-go for it. Does not matter what other people think-It is your truck.

Dude, lol...You started this bashing from the start with your flaming Raptor thread, and then again on this thread. You're like the EverReady battery only with diarrhea of the mouth...you keep on and on and on, lol! He's just countering to your comments just as I am, your on Dodge forum...what do you expect, lol! I have nothing against you and I don't know you from Adam and would like to consider you as a friend here. But that's not going to change the fact that I'm gonna bash what ever you say against Mopar...if you want it to stop then stop the flaming. If you think Ford is better that's wonderful, I have friends and family that feel the same way, lol! But you don't own either one of these trucks therefore you have NO experience or qualifications nor do your comments have any grounds to stand on other than like I said...diarrhea of the mouth, lol! I'm poor, I spent the last dime I had to get my truck, some people had to fight their ole ladies to get their truck and work longer hours, maybe even borrow from the kids college funds. I don't mean to be rude here, but when you're ready to commit to spending some of your hard earned money on one of these new trucks, or money you put aside for retirement and have to be concerned of your investment, then maybe someone will listen to your opinions. When you do, I'll be the first in line to give support to your opinions and your investment...Sir, lol!

I was ready to purcahse a 2009 Ford F 150 (my third Ford) before I tested and bought the Ram. The ram wins hands down. The Ram's interior is roomier then the Ford, but Dodge needs to upgrade or stiffen the seats. The Ford has a tiny center console where the Dodge's center console is twice the size so you can do your paperwork comfortably. The Rams brakes are far superior to the Ford's. My only complaint with the Ram is the stupid keeyless door lock not working and the dreadded hemi tick, otherwise this is the best truck I ever owned. Also, the Ford comes with no gas cap which was a huge turnoff and the styling was lousy.

1954Radio,

To prevent a war (or continuing one?) I am going to lay off. I do not want to create any, or add any more, enemies here.

I am a proud Ram owner and I do not want any conflict with any of the members here. I enjoy coming on this forum to learn and share information. It has been an honor debating with you, kind sir. Thank you for keeping it clean...for the most part.

My apologies to all that I offended and/or upset during this bickering. Ram-a-lama!!!

Same here, when the thread is right I'll tell you all about a 67 barn Stang I've been putting off picking up...complete from head to toe! I think we did enough hijacking here to warrant a Dodge forum death penalty, lol! bzal...you might want to think about hanging on to that nice truck you have now, even if you do purchase a new one, good luck!

Awesome! The 1968 Mustang G.T. fastback that I own (given to me by my parents) was bought back in 1969/1970 by my mom. She took over the payments from the original owner after he had it for only about a year and change.
