09-11 Chrome Clad Wheel Corrosion
#11
I think possibly Dodge had a bad run of chrome clad wheels and chrome bumpers.
I have tried to get my wheels and rear bumper replaced first emailing Customer Assistance and they said take to a dealer. My dealer took pictures and Dodge did not approve replacement. I told the dealer they will only get worse and now they are.
I have talked with two (2) other dealers and they do not want to get in the middle since I have been dealing with another dealer already.

My wheels are doing the same thing. I had 3 replaced with no questions at about 11k miles. When the fourth one started do it I took it in and a warranty rep just happened to be on site and denied it. He said it would buff out. I called bs but I am stuck with 3 good rims and one messed up one.

Hopefully Dodge will do the right thing and replace our wheels. Everyone with bad chrome clad wheels and other chrome will have to contact Dodge and complain. Sending an email is the best. You then will have a record of the complaint and are given Reference and Case Numbers. They still haven't replaced any of our chrome but, I have proof of an early on problem in case it should come down to a Class Action Lawsuit. Also, if they do replace any chrome how long will it last? I have heard that they will only replace it once if they do replace chrome.
I believe they will. Dodge just swapped out three rims of mine due to the corners peeling. 09 Ram 17K miles. You guys should give the truck keys to your wives. Since you all sound like such weenies!

My Wife Says Your the Weenie
This is my wife's truck. I say, "you are some kind of jerk". Many women are gear heads too! She runs the hell out of this truck and so do I.
I have a 67 Chevy Stepside that we are building and a 07 Spring Classic Harley. What have you got? Nothing much I bet. I have owned several big block Mopars since I was 16 back in 1972.
When you pay close to $40K for a vehicle and take care of it shouldn't it last through the warranty at least?
As you can see I am using my Real Name and have nothing to hide.
