The One Thing That Hooked You
What sucked me (long time Ford & Ford truck fan) into buying my Ram (3rd generation) back in 2005 was the Power Wagon model. Dodge (Ram) was/is the only company with the guts to build such a monster. If I were to buy again today...I would still buy a Ram Power Wagon over anything else.
If I could settle for an independent front suspension (4X4), I will only buy a solid-front axle 4X4, I would be all over the Ford F-150 S.V.T. Raptor. That is a killer truck! Good luck trying to decide!

I've been hooked on Rams since the movie Twister came out back when I was a wee little man but the final straws that made me part ways with my 99 Ram 1500 and get my 2010 1500 sport was the exterior, center console, HEMI, and the rambox. Although unfortunatly I couldn't get a ram with the ram box because no dealer's had them in stock and I couldn't wait on a new truck to arrive although I'm very happy with my sport.

Honestly, after seeing how cheap the 3rd gens were being built and how much of a slump the whole truck market was in, I was really on the fence about what I was going to get. What sold me was taking a 13 hour road trip with a member here to Ohio pulling a massive 2009 Dodge Challenger. I wasn't impressed with the towing capability at all, but the return drive was simply awesome. After that, I didn't need to drive the other brands to know what to get. I did get the opportunity to drive a 2011 F-150 configured with the 3.6 and another with the 6.2 AND a 2011 Silverado LTZ and I must say I stick to my choice with the Ram.
Ram and Ford both have put a lot of time into these trucks and it shows immensely. GM on the other hand still looks like they are slapping together something that looks like a truck with the spare parts they have laying around.
