Those Oil change plans and extended waranty sucks, they pays the dealership the Bare Minimun, and makes our customer think it is VIP plan. And they Limit customer with very few option to choose their shop.
Service ppl generally prioritize Cash paying Customers on busy days, I am sorry to tell you, but this is the way it works.

when it comes to Luxury Service, low line Manufacturer like Dodge, Chevy, Toyota, etc... are pretty crappy. But when you Buy a Lexus or Mercedes, you will get treated like a VIP every time you go in. But expect to pay $200+ each oil change. I have a friend with a BMW X5, he recently changed a Battery in the dealership, Service was superb. except the Bill was $500, yes, for changing a freaking battery.

You get what you paid for. I know you paid a lot for ur truck, but the Service dept is still Dodge standard.

All of this sounds like you have fallen victim to a crappy dealer! IMHO I think the days of good full service dealerships are a thing of the past. In my experience most dealers now are all about the almighty dollar not service. Many dealers now hire also part changers (not techs) at bottom dollar flat rate pay, this would explain how your tire got plugged instead of replaced. That tire clearly has side wall damage and as CarGuyOhio stated that plug is dangerously close to the side wall of your tire, which is a risk a well trained tech would take.

Really, it is just the 09 guys? I like mine. I know they had an issue early in 09 with the caps "rusting" onto the stems, but they fixed that with a plastic cap.

The 17's had metal stems, but I believe that the 20's had rubber stems.

Weird huh? My stock rims were the 20" chrome clad (maybe that made a difference?) and the metal ones would have looked better than the rubber ones on them.

Sadly, this seems to be more common these days. I guess I got lucky because I found an incredible dealership in upstate New York (Goldstein Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge in Colonie www.goldsteinauto.com/Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge) and these guys are phenomenal. Never had less than 100% perfect service, never had them argue about an issue or warranty claim, nothing. I'll buy from these guys as long as I'm in stuck in this liberal, suck-your-wallet-empty state!

my truck had a paint bubble on tailgate. i took it back within the first month and they had it for 3 days and painted the whole gate. My dad's truck has a paint bubble dead under his drivers side door handle and have asked the service dept numerous times and they say they are waiting for an answer from dodge.

I bought into the free oil changes/inspection for life for a few $ and got the "we can pick it up and drop back off, no problem" (work within 3 miles of dealer)

So far i have only gotten them to pick my truck up for the first oil change, and once for the inspection. on the 2nd oil change where i went after work and was a "WAITER" my truck sat outside the showroom for an hour until i said something to a salesman and it was blamed on a tech who pulled in an overnight dropoff by mistake... They did my tire rotation for free as a result.

The inspection day(end of Feb) came and went with no one showing up. Went down the dealer the next day/sat and went straight to the owner and said WTF is wrong with this place, told him what happened and how the service dept cant even give my dad an answer on his paint problem.... I recieved a "SORRY" from the owner and that he would find out about the paint issue on my dad's truck and that they would come and geo it the following monday... they did and dropped it off without issue

fast foward to last night, get a flat tire in the middle of nowhere... get a ride home get a real jack/tools and get all muddy and change it and throw it in the back. When i bought my truck i bought the Tire Hazard plan that covers up to 4 wheels and tires damaged from any road hazards.. Called dealer this morning and of course they are too busy and shorthanded to pickup just like every oil change. drive over after work, wait an hour and they come say how its fixed, plugged it.. just a nail. Well would be great if i didnt have to drive on it for a few hundred yards to get off road which did you know what to the sidewall....

I keep my truck nice and i know that when i clean my truck this tire is going to bug the hell out of me.

parents seem to think i should raise hell... i im just sick of what seems like is ****ty service and having to talk to the owner to get things corrected.. ( i worked in sever dealers and know several ppl at this place) i am a parts manager and know not everyone is happy all the time... I am over demanding and being a whiny jerk or am i getting shat on???

They should give you a new tire, and you should ask for your money back on the "we can pick it up or drop it off", Take your business to another dealership from now on.
Write a letter to the owner and explain to him why he is loosing your business, and send a copy to Chrysler. and have your dad do the same
