Default Looking for Oil Change info.

Would you since the manual says 6 months or 10000 kms between oil changes, well I have been going by the old tried and true 2/3 months or 5000 kms using regular oil and filter from the dealer. I have 19000 kms and have had over 10 oil changes just cuz of time. I was thinking since we put low kms and we are allowed 6mos or 10000kms I was gonna go 5w 20 Synthetic and go the full 6 months because we won't put 10000kms on it in months. Please vote on the poll I posted about this.

I switched to synthetic @ 1500kms, and now go in about ever 7-8000kms.

While as a fellow Canadian, I do appreciate the kms in the poll. Maybe edit it to miles as most members here are American.

I am going to go with Pennzoil ultimate full synthetic CTire has it on sale 29.99 for a jug so 3 and will have enough left for the next oil change. 7 litres in our books it says and 7 quarts in theirs? Anyway I will have to keep my eyes open I could get it in the US for 25 for 5 quarts either jug plus 1 or 5 separate including an oil filter and my wife is over there all the time.....hmmmmm I should be preaching buy Canadian since Obama is preaching buy US. I was under the impression Canada and US kinda had a good trade policy, they sure get a good amount of oil from us if that ends we will be nothing. LOL I am gonna do the math.

My dealer changes mine every 3K miles. Conventional Pennzoil and Mopar filter. Usually around $20.
