Hello Everyone,
What is everyone running for headlights if not going the HID route. I heard great things about Luminics, PIAA & GP Thunder (but they don't know make nothing else than 8500k. I purchased the Luminics Titanium white 5500k headlight bulbs due to driving at night at times and I need the extra seeing distance when I go around all non lit areas. Any good reviews about Luminics from the forum members here?

Record Breaker
I've used Silverstar Ultra bulbs in a variety of vehicles. They have much better light output than standard bulbs and also a whiter light. I don't think they would be as good as the HIDs I have in the RAM now, but if you don't want HIDs they are a great alternative. I have some in my motorcycle and the other night when I was heading home after dark I was again amazed at how bright they are. The single headlight on my VTX was lighting up the road better than a lot of cars I've ridden in.

I was also looking to go your route, Hids are available in all sorts of brightness levels from 5-12000k, and price have significantly dropped in those systems, i once paid $250 for just the head lights for my 06 charger, a couple months ago i got headlights and fogs for $130, so thats around what those silverstars would cost, and lights are plug and play, no cutting or modding factory wiring.

here's the 'standard' silverstar 9145 on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Sylvania-9145-...6632659&sr=8-1Originally Posted by wellstep
For the Silverstar Ultras in the fogs what did you use because as far as I see hey don't have 9145 bulbs that I see.
i'm wary of going with Silverstars myself. they supposedly have a very quick burn-out rate. i've ran them in a past vehicle but sold it a few months later, so i have no long term experience with them. i'm considering PIAA Xtreme Whites as they are supposed to have a longer life.
