I was shopping around for quotes on some 275/65/20 in the bf allterrain and nitto terra grapplers since I heard great things about both here on the forum. So the tech tells me I am going to get 10-12 mpg with either of these tires and wobble at highway speeds. I told him twice how I did my research and neither should happen but since he's been working for town fair tire for 7 years he's seen it all apparently and knows everything...... In the end I walked away and they will never get any business from me ever. Hope everyone else's tire shopping goes smoother than mine!

 

Why do you care what the tech says? Tell him to be a good boy and install your tires.

 

The good boy's head was to big to get past what the customer wanted and knew...plus he didn't even give a price for either. He was more interested in expressing his opinion

 

I had the terra grapplers on my 07 (20s, ten ply), ya they we a LITTLE louder then the stock. They did also wobble like MAD, when I was playing in the snow or mud. The tires would just fill up with everything and throw the balance off. But that what you get with a sick tread tire. After all the gunk was gone, I never saw that big of a difference.

 

That is to be expected....I get that now when I play in the snow with the stock tires and rims throws the whole balance off. He was saying when they were clean which is compete bull**** unless of course they don't knw how to balance tires properly!
