I have a question about the mounting of the resistors for the tail lights I can't really think of too good of a spot to mount it other than inside the bed where the wires come from, but that leaves no way to put a screw into it. Also I found out my cargo light/3rd brake light do not completely shut off when the truck is turned off and had to switch back to halogen bulbs. In relation to the cargo light if there was one halogen and one LED it shut off. 3rd brake light still stayed live.

Putting in a one ohm resistor is what people are doing to get it to shut the LED's off in the cargo lights...I personally don't care b/c they shut off after being on for 45 seconds after I lock the truck. I left the brake light halogen for the time being.

Well the thing of it is that they aren't fully lit up when they stay on. It's more like dimly lit up where it looks almost like a reflection of another light on the housing. (but its not) And with the cargo lights they did the same thing. it was a barely noticeable light during the day but in dusk/night its quite visible which is how I found out about the 3rd brake light. I'll put the LEDs back in right now and see if they do go off after 45seconds-1 minute. If not I guess I'll be buying 4 resistors for my turn signals and 2 smaller resistors for the cargo/3rd brake.

That's what mine do once I hit the lock the two cargo (white) lights stay on but very dimly lit. But after 45 seconds my two cargo lights shut off...(i think i stated before my brake light is still a halogen).

Do you have a white RAM Sport? I work in Bayonne and have seen a white sport out that way rather often when I fill up at the Shell.

white/mineral grey outdoorsman

and i think i'll give the leds in the cargo lights another shot. My old man jumped the gun when we were changing the bulbs out. Pissy that we interrupted him watching the dallas game on thanksgiving. Now that I saw how to pop it out I got plenty of time to kill till work at 3. haha

Edit:The bulbs do go out after about a minute or so. I put the third brake light LED in as well but with no one to check if it works, and it being harder to tell if it stays lit during the day I'll have to wait till later on to see if it had the same type of deal with the ~1 minute complete shut off.

the oldman a Dallas fan?! Props to him if so lol! Huge Cowboys fan here...

Glad to hear the Cargo Lights are shutting off after about a minute, to be honest it's not going to do any harm, mine have been in there for awhile now, LED's draw nothing. I have lights underneath my bed rails in my truck for night time use and wired up a switch by the driver side seat and I've left them on over night and my battery didn't die, that's the best thing about LED's..

Nah he was just into watching football and drinking his girls light. We're both die hard packers fans. I just ordered the resistors for the tails and turn signals, I'll post pictures of where I mount the tail lights because there isn't much room but I got a good idea.
