There is no paddleshifter, but if you look closely on some of the new ram pictures, on the right side of the steering wheel are the controls for gear up/down/ and the cruise. So its not a paddleshifter but it acts kinda like it! haha

electric power steering.. uhhh So if that fails do i lose steering?
Lift kits with the air suspension would be extremely hard to make which would make them very spendy... Not only expensive but almost pointless unless ur a mall crawler. With airbags in mud/rocks punctures would be an obvious and u can't flex with them due to stretching and tearing the airbags.

As for electric power steering there is maybe a 5% chance that it will hold up to 35-37inch tires. And to use more power to turn the tires means more wear on alt and battery which basically runs the rest of the truck

Is it really optional on all trim levels? I thought it'd be standard on levels like Laramie, Longhorn Laramie, Limited, and Sport. Then be an option (like the 5.7) on the SLT, Lonestar, and BigHorn.

If you do any amount of towing at all,you better service it every 50k.And yes it does cost around 800 bucks to do cause you have to replace the trans pan completely when you do the service.Thats where the cost comes in.If you think it's gonna be such a great tranny, then wait and buy one.Been doin this too long to have smart *** comments posted.Do your REAL WORLD research and then message me with an informed comment thanks!

I never said anything for or against the new tranny. In fact, I was just asking a question because your point was incomplete. If the service costs 4 times as much but needs to be done at intervals 4 times longer, cost wouldn't be an issue.

Also, if you bought a 2012 because you didn't want an 8 speed tranny, you were the one that does uninformed posts. Matter of fact, the current 6 speed will also be available for 2013, and the **** you don't like doesn't come with it.

Looks to me like you're just scared of evolution. Anyways, I'm outta here.

Wow! Why does the pan need changed on the new 8 speed when serviced?
