Someone swiped and dented my front bumper on my '09 Laramie beyond repair and I would like to buy a new one online instead of paying $2 k at the dealership. Does anybody know where I could get an exact replica of my bumper online for a decent price???

You have a dealer that wants to charge $2000 for a front bumper??? A chrome one that requires no painting and minimal installation? That's insane.

Rob is correct...the stealership is trying to bend you over and hand it to yah it sounds like...

But how about you call your insurance company and pay your deductible? Cheaper than paying 2k...you have insurance don't you?!?

Like others have said check ebay. If not call around to a few junk yards and see if they have a ram that was totaled in rear end collision. Worth a shot...

 

Might be more damage than we know about, dosent take long to add up with todays accidents/prices. My 07 hemi rt charger wacked a deer and cost me well over $4,000 and you could hardly tell the car hit a deer other than the headlight being knocked back into the fender area.

 

and I bet 40% of that $4,000 cost was due to labor... bc the labor rates are flat out stupid. I was actually dropping a buddy off on the disgusting Staten Island at the Chevy/GMC dealer and there hourly labor rate was $195.00....WTF..and they needed a bailout?!?! haha. I should of taken a picture of that sign.

 

I guess that could be, and then you'd be correct about the costs. But he just asked about buying a replacement bumper. Perhaps the OP can clarify if the dealership was asking $2000 for just the bumper part and installation or if the estimate included other components?

Somebody swiped my bumper a while back. i think the body shop quoted me 800 for a new one.

 

I dunno if they carry 4th Gens yet, but I helped a buddy paint & install one on his '07 Ram that he bought new from LMC truck for like $200 + shipping. I think chrome ones were like $299...
