Silver one is mine and i had been there a couple hours and just couldn't free the bastard and all we had was chain and no one with the sense to get a tire. (I blame that on the whiskey) Mud was so deep the front tires were sunk and in was the way out so we were pullin from the rear and the front left CV axle busted at the knuckle but not before the chain slapes across my bed but i see it as a pretty sweet battle scare. I bought a new CV axle and installed it myself and battle tested it the next weekend and did fine. The white one was olny stuck for about 30 minutes but the chain snapped again and broke out his back glass and the right back glass on my buddies Chevy Tahoe. Needless to say got a little expensive on everyone but that's the price you pay for a little fun. Over all i say it was worth it...well almost.

you guys sound like a bunch of rookies. Put a piece of carpet or a blanket over the chain in case it snaps. You're lucky nobody got hurt

Buy yourself a big towstrap, chains are not for jerking rednecks out of the mud. Chain through the back window is a great way to end your day.

Something like this rated for 40K lbs or better

Was it wise? No. Did we know better? Yes. No one brought their tow strap because it was a spur of the moment deal and a few buddies on Quads had chains so we said to hell with it. Just kinda underestimated the mud .Ain't saying it was smart but it sure was fun.

Forget chains. From what I learned while owning a jeep is if you cant afford a jeep, at least get a BubbaRope. It stretches out when you slam the gas with the tow vehicle, and as the stretch springs back it pulls harder than it would with a chain without the hard shock of hitting the throttle. BubbaRope rocks.
