Default 2013 CrewCab w/6.4 Bed

I found out that you can order the Crew Cab w/ 6.4 bed effective yesterday.

The only problem I ran into is that they don't have the Active 4 Corner suspension available.
My dealer contacted Dodge and was told that the feature was on a hold.
I think that enigneers @ Ram havn't design the system for this version of the truck, or the system has a problem.

Wow cool about the longer bed, I would have loved to have that, but I spend more time hauling kids than cargo so went with the crew cab shorter bed instead of quad cab longer bed.

In one respect you get the best of both worlds (passenger room and cargo space).
However, the truck turns into a bus, huge and hard to park.

I've got a 2012 CC w the 5.7' bed and can't imagine an additional 10" bed or maybe 5-6 inch additional wheelbase would be unmanageable. I had a '73 Dodge Club Cab with the 8' bed and a 149" wheelbase and it was somewhat of a handful but these newer trucks turn quicker so it might be a little more maneuverable. I know there will be times when I would like the extra bed length.

From what I could find out the issue is supply constraints on the air suspension parts. Also just as an FYI, the 5'7" bed on the Crew Cab has a 140" wheelbase and the 6'4" bed has a 149" wheelbase.

Not enough to get me to shell out for a new one, but if I was in the market then I'd definitely be buying the longer bed. Interesting that all 9" of length are put between the axles.

Default 2013 ram 2500 cc

I just picked up this truck Tuesday. Traded a 2008 toyota tundra crewmax SR5. The crewmax cab is larger. Especially the back seat. The ram I bought is a loaded larimie. Love the interior. More leg room in rear but, seat is smaller. The truck does not turn as tight as the crewmax. I would not want to think about an 8 ft bed or a megacab.

Nice. I looked at a crewmax as well and the interior was massive in that thing. I didn't end up getting it because they didn't have the option of electric bench seat in the front and my wife really wanted that extra middle seat (which we've used 2 or 3 times in a year, geesh).

Default Update

I had to wait a month to order my loaded 2013 Laramie Crew Cab 4x4 w/6.4 bed the way I wanted it, but it finally happen.
Ram put a hold on the 26h package which is the 8 spd trans. option.
They just released it for sold order only, as they have a major demand from what I'm told, also it's only avail. on the premium line.
Be advised the 8 spd trans. gear is only 3.21.
