On the 13 Ram bug shield you have to remove the rubber seal, cut off 1 1/2" off each end, then install the bug shield and then re-install the rubber seal. Just did it this morning. The instructions from Ram suck(IMHO)!

how is the new bug shield workin out.... does it deflect alot of bugs from hitting your windshield...?

 

No not really---but it does protect the leading edge of the hood from rock chips etc. and it doesn't look 1/2 bad either.
If your looking for something to deflect the bugs my best advise is to just drive in the winter----LOL
