Since you have a 2012 you do not have the 100,000 mile spark plugs. So if you haven't changed them out I'd start there, plus check/replace the air filter. Of course, your driving style has a lot to do with it, too.
Not sure where you're located, but here in western New York State the temperatures have been in the teens or low 20s for the last few weeks. Temps like this always take my fuel mileage down and I typically average above 18mpg in the summer. My last tank was 15.7. The best I've done so far this winter is 17.1.

Dusty

Talking 2012 Ram 2500 SLT Crew Cab 4x4 6.7 Turbo Cummings Diesel Just over 92K miles

Having 'Ghost Codes' showing up every two weeks for 11 months. Have replaced all O2 sensors, EGR valve, temperature sensor, EGR vent tube, O2 control module, and O2 overlay harness.
Mechanics can't seem to figure out what the problem. Hate to see this ole boy go; but I've ordered a brand new 2018 from the factory.

My 1998 Doge 1500 has 150k on it but it was abused by the prior owner (didnt know to after I purchased). It was a daily driver. I now have a 15 ram big horn, 20k miles, and its only my hunting truck, I drive the civic all over hells creation,

I put 102,000 miles on my 2012 Ram before I traded it on a 2016 Challenger R/T Plus.

Just turned 74K. Other than replacing two tires, no issues or maintenance since my last update in October of 2016.
