Hopefully these come through. Forum says I have exceeded my quota. Had to delete my photos from the first post to add these.
You're doing it all wrong brother! Set up a photobucket account and upload your pictures there, and then use the direct link to the image and insert it here.
The good: Unlimited uploads, higher resolution photos

I actually thought about doing that last night, but about the same time I got a phone call that lasted longer than I thought it would. I'll do it before the day is out.
Thanks for the help with the great how-to on posting pics.Click on the above photo, it should take you to photobucket and some more pictures. They're not in order, but you'll be able to get an idea of what's involved in doing this kind of thing from scratch.
That's sweet! You should design a cutting template that uses the windshield washer spray nozzles to make it dummy proof (if you plan to sell this as a kit). Personally I would be hesitant to cut into my factory hood without knowing 100% that it was going to be right.

If we do there will be a template included to properly locate where to cut. You know that sometimes when the factory punches those washer holes, they don't always get them in the exact same spot? That's why some companies that make vinyl (the new Challenger T-hood stripes for example) come without the holes pre-punched. Some auto parts stores even carry an inexpensive kit to re-locate the washers to the wiper arms, to clean up that area of your hood. We'll probably reference the cut off of the rear edge of the hood and the washers. All you'll have to do is correctly locate the hood center, measuring from side to side. Believe me, we've had some serious discussion about how to do this, especially just before we cut MY hood!
Wow, that's an awesome fabrication! I was just thinking the other day why no one has yet to create a Shaker Hood setup yet. How's the sound?
I'm not done developing this set-up yet, still have some final pieces to fab up, like the trim ring, etc. Also have to then install it on my truck and tie up any loose ends. Hopefully I'll be done or close to done this coming weekend. I don't know yet how it'll sound, but I'm guessing a lot louder than the vararam I'm running now. If you click on the picture of the bubble you'll see a few more pictures, I'll post pics of my latest progress later today.
