First let me state that I'm retired, and that this started as a DIY project on my truck, mainly because I wanted something different than what was available. NOBODY makes a shaker kit for the 4th. gen. Rams. I have a 2012 Ram Express RCSB. A couple months ago I and a friend started designing a shaker set-up for my truck. We're about 80% done, and after we finish up and get all the bugs/details worked out, we're going to look into the possibility of making these available as a kit. But we haven't got to that part yet, right now it's just a serious thought. Have to finish mine up first. Anyway, here's a few pictures of where we're at now. We cut the hole last weekend, and the pics. were basically a final mock-up. Hopefully it'll be finished in the next week or two. The truck will be at Garlits Museum in Ocala, Florida the first of November. If you're there, stop by and say hello, and let us know what you think.

Thanks! Hopefully we'll be finished if not this coming weekend, the weekend after. I'm sure I'll have some final adjustments and/or bugs to work out. But as soon as I'm done, I'll post some good pictures. If we decide to go forward with producing kits, I want to be sure what we offer is a fool-proof, #1 quality kit, with the only fab work being cutting your hood and whatever painting you choose to do to match or contrast your truck. I'm going to paint my trim ring and bubble almost gloss black, probably flattened about 20%. That should catch the eye coming up out of my white hood! More later.

 

Alright, I'm almost done molding the under hood panel. This basically serves three purposes. It gives the underside a finished look, reinforces the cut-out area, plus a lip protrudes up top to tie together and locate the trim ring. Still have to do the trim ring, along with a few odds and ends. So far-so good, I'm getting antsy to get this done and ON MY TRUCK!
