2009 Crew needs new shocks, recommendations?
I am looking at replacing the shocks on my 2009 4.7 1500 crew cab and want to keep the original ride quality. I don't need to stiffen anything up. I have about 58K miles on the oem shocks. Did a few searches for shock replacement information and didn't find much so still have a few questions. How many miles have you got out of the factory shocks? Should I stay with MOPARs shocks? If aftermarket, what recommendations?

I hear the stockers last about 20k miles before theyre toast (heard that on another forum). At nearly 60k I bet your in dire need of shocks... I know I am and Im at 42k miles. I would not replace with the OEM's myself, id go with the Bilstein shocks for superior ride quality. You can get the fronts in an adjustable to level as well which is what im planning to do.

My 2010 Crew Cab has over 123k miles with the original rear shocks and front struts showing no sign of leakage and the truck levels without bouncing after pushing down on any fender. Will they make it to 200k, possibly, who knows?
Amazon has Bilstiens for the rear at $79.00 each. If you are capable of loading the front struts yourself, you have more options.
Napa has the best deal on the (loaded) front struts in my area. There is nothing bad about OEM or Monroe, etc.
Please share your experience. Sooner or later I will change out mine too Lol.
