Default In The Market for a 4th Gen. Help With Site VIN Decoder Please

I'm currently searching for a 4th Gen. with 5.7L, 4X4, 3.92 rear end, short bed, at least an extra cab and undecided on transmission (6 or 8 gear), haven't found which is "better" for towing.

When using the site's VIN decoder https://dodgeforum.com/forum/vindecoder.php
with this VIN as an example 1C6RR7LT0ES174407
It lists 3.55 rears in the "equipment tab" but under the "tech. specs. tab" I find the following:Axle Ratio (:1) - Front3.92, 3.55 3.55 min 3.92 maxAxle Ratio (:1) - Rear3.92, 3.55 3.55 min 3.92 max

This has been happening on multiple occasions with several VIN numbers. How can it be both, or is it not and rather an error? Are the 3.92's that hard to come by? I'm striking out searching within 200 miles in South Florida.

FWIW I'm also using this window sticker generator via VIN which sometimes doesn't even list the rear end spec. and no 3.92's. https://researchmaniacs.com/VIN-Numb...C6RR7LT0ES1744

Thanks for any help you can lend.
Keith

For that VIN, I come up with a 3.21 axle ratio. Got my info from here. (click on equipment listing, enter the vin, hit submit.)

Thanks to be extra sure prior to purchase, do you know if there's a way to physically ID which gear set is present in the rear end?
