Default A very close race

Pulled up to a car at the light on my way home last night. It was all blacked out, windows and wheels, wicked looking. Emblem on back says Accra TL5? On green we both rolled out, I did hit it first. This thing fell back about 1 1/2 car lengths, then slowly crawled up to the back of my bumper and hung there. By almost the quarter mile (my turn off) he had fell back just enough to see my brake lights. Yikes, that was too close! I looked up Accra TL5 on the internet when I got home and it appears (depending on model) to be a 6 second or so car (0 to 60). I wonder what he was thinkin when a truck beat him ........

Thanks, this was too close, I need mods! I am so enjoying it, there is a reason I ordered it the way I did. As you know, the RCSB is a quick truck. Theres always someone faster and when I lose its all in fun anyway. I have not seen a RCSB 09 Ram anywhere in my city yet. I rather imagine you have put a few cars to shame with yours too.

lol oh yeah, and my best kill so far was my dads 08 mustang gt. it was close, but i got him by 40 and pulled a good 1- 1 1/2 lengths on him.

Beat alot of 4 bangers not worth mentioning. Took down a couple of 3rd gen hemi's (one was a co workers rumble bee), 2 SS silverados, a couple vortec max's, and a few R/T chargers . Dont even waste my time with the 5.4 F150s or the 5.3 Silverados.

As it turns out trail blazer SS's are not to be taken lightly. Got smoked by one bad the other day. Dont know if he was stock, but yeah, we walked me good. Im really curious about runnin a R/T challenger too. Still waiting for that 4th gen to pull up to a light with me. lol.

Chevy TB SS "Power is delivered by the Corvette-derived LS2 6.0L V-8, enabling a 0-60 mph time of 5.7 seconds" So you got beat by a bigger engine with more HP. If he toasted you by more than a few lengths he was modded.

F-150....hah haaaa, I used to just play with them in my 04 Hemi, would not waste my time ether. My only other kill in my 09 one was an infinity ES, a 6.4 second car, I got him good but he was not a good sport. When it warms up I will go to the track and get some time slips. It won't look too impressive though as we are at 7000ft here. Is there some kind of correction factor for altitude that can be applied?

I found this on google, dunno if it helps any. http://www.wallaceracing.com/altitudecorrection.htm

Im gonna run the 1/4 for the first time with this truck next month. I managed a 9.2 1/8th mile last week after running several 9.5s. I have really bad traction problems even with toyota's " electronic LSD". There's guys with my truck breaking into the 8's in the 1/8th and 13's in the 1/4 stock, so im doing something wrong, or they are just better drivers.

If anyone in the socal area is interested, The California Speedway is open 3/7/09 in fontana. Be cool to meet up with some of you.
