EVIC temp sensor
Ok first post. Picked up my '09 SLT in black right before Christmas. I've driven F150's and Rams before and I've got to say, Dodge really got the suspension right on this one. Very smooth without the truck bounce. Overall, very happy with it.
I wanted to check with you guys about the temp reading on your trucks. Anyone else getting very high temperatures? Mine is about 8-10 degrees over actual. Is there a way to calibrate?

Thats funny, 'cause mine seems to always be 4 degrees lower than the bank thermometer I drive by every day... And I doubt the $40,000 bank clock/thermometer is off... :-P
Yeah, I've got a bank near my house too that has the time and temp flashing!
I may take to to the dealer to get sensor fixed, but they want to keep it for a couple hours to troubleshoot it. I was hoping someone knew a software hack to reset it.

My ambiant tempature read about 20 degrees to high, very erratic, and very slow to update.
I've had mine in two times to diagnose the problem on my ambiant tempature sensor. They have tried to replace the sensor which happens to be in the spoiler of the tailgate. They've reset the system by pulling the battery cables. Now that Dodge got involved they have ordered an entire Fuse Module that goes into the engine bay. I beleive they called it the TIP module. They promise that this is going to the fix the problem that I'm having with mine.

My thermometer reads about 20°F too high. Am waiting for someone to get it repaired successfully before I donate garage time. I really rely on this thing for winter driving safety and this is unacceptable.
i had mine fixed but posted my results in a different thread.
Replacing the TIPM module fixed the problem. Someone also reported that their dealership was getting some modules from Dodge to stock for this exact reason.
Hope that helps
