i got my 09 trx4 that stickered for 38,500 for 28,000. i also got it last week. i had two dealerships battling each other for my business. at first, the one dealer said they could not use my credit union. (BS. they wanted me to finance for 12+% and get some money through interest) the other dealer said i could use my credit union. i got a deal and then said i was military for 500$ and then gave the dodge coupon for 1000$.

too bad this week dodge took back some of its incentives.

if the dealer won't move, they are probably getting close to even or loosing money. there was a bunch of dodge dealers in atlanta that went under.

The deals will come back around boys, I can understand your situation where you are in a bind seeing that you sold your Toyota, but look at last summer for reference. They had $4K rebates plus 0% for 72 months and you could buy at essentially dealer invoice. Plus the '09's have quite a bit more sticker markup than the '08's.

With the loaded up '08's, you could figure around $3200-$3800 off sticker, then add in your rebate and massive financing savings. My salesman tells me that you will never see the 0% for 72 months again, but the 60 month deal might happen. The 0 for 72 saves you approximately $6000 or so in financing, so you were around $13K or so in total savings. Without taking the financing, you could get $7500 in rebates plus the dealer markdown for around $11K or so in OTD discount.

Take the '09's, say Sport, loaded up with a sticker of $43,500. EPP discount gets you $6K off, then add in your rebates, which were $5.5K around Detroit, there's $11.5K off, then add in your financing savings and you are around $15K or so in savings, which is massive.

February Chrysler sales weren't down as much as GM, but were still in the 40%+ range. Once spring breaks, I forsee EPPP with EP plus rebates in the range of $4K plus the $2.5K loyalty rebate, plus 0.9% for 60 months. Particularly if they get another shot of taxpayer $$$ to loan out, what do they care if don't make $$$ on interest, they are never going to pay it back anyways.

You should be able to get at least 10k off of a 38k sticker and more for higher priced trucks. You might want to try traveling a bit to get a lower price. Mission Chrylser Dodge in San Antonio was offering me 15k off no problem (but they tried to screw me on my trade). Ended up buying at Boerne Dodge (also 15k off but got a fair trade-in offer). The 100 mile drive from North Austin was worth the $2,500 I saved by not buying local.

I'm looking at an 09 1500 TRX4 with a couple options. The MSRP is 37K and I got 2 prices at 29,500. The dealers are saying that dodge will not let them go any lower than that price. This sounds rediculous to me. I was hoping to get a price around 27. Am I being unreasonable?

You should be able to get more off than that, unless the deals/rebates just recently changed.
