I might be the only one, but I can get s**t to rattle in my truck with the stock equip. at about 18-20. I'm pleased witht the system. But you can always do better.
I am going to chime in here with some personal experience. I am a stereo "snob". Alpine makes great head units but their speakers are a long ways from Infinity or Polk. Check the price difference on Crutchfield.com. I think the issue with the sub is more a matter of porting than quality. I do not see any porting in the enclosure to allow the air to move, on top of that the door covers the sub and is not acoustically transparent. I replaced my stock speakers in my '08 F-250 with Infinity's and in my buddies '08 Silverado. What an improvement!
I have the Alpine system in my 09 Laramie and it is better than my friends 2006 300C and 2008 Audi R8. It has enough bass to rattle my review and side view mirrors.
I don't know, I think it sounds great. The best stereo from the factory that I have ever heard. My fiance bought an 09 Mazda 6 with the Bose stereo and sub, and personally I think mine sounds way better than hers. I can hear the base in mine alot better than her stereo.

1. I can't really get my stereo to rattle anything, even with bass all of the way up on a bass heavy track and I have the Alpine system in my '09 Laramie.
2. Comparing it to those vehicles isn't saying much. The stereo in my wife's H3 can put the Ram stereo to shame. It's enough for me now, considering I have other priorities these days (boat stereo is more important) but having had real nice stereos in vehicles before, this thing isn't very good.
I have a question to ask some of you guys about the radio system in my new truck. I just purchased a 2010 Laramie and was under the impression that the sub took up only part of the storage space under the seat. I looked under the seat this morning and found that the whole compartment was full. Is that the way they were on the 09 model? I thought I saw a picture of one that only took up part of the under-seat storage. Have they changed something?
