Default 09 ram 1500 alpine sub-woofer

Have 09 ram 1500 with alpine 500 10 speaker powered sub-woofer system. Does anyone know if there is any control, or volume for this sub-woofer at all, has hardly any bass and came with no manual.

Thanks

Do the EQ setup on the menu page. You can mess with the Bass, Mid, and Treble. I put my bass up to 6 along with the the treble. The mid i left down one click.

I will tell you this much. I have the Alpine with the sub and it is the worst stereo that I have ever had in a vehicle. I would much rather have the space than the sub. That system is weak weak weak. The Infinity in my 02 quad was much better than that Alpine thing.

That sub looks like it's about an 8". Wonder if you could replace it with a higher quality 10". I have 1 10" sony in my 99 and the base is so much better than this one. I might have to sneak a peak at the internals this weekend to see how much trouble it would be to replace it. Jeff.

I see JL audio has a 10" stealthbox Sub that looks to fit in the stock location on the 2009 RAM Crewcabs. I have the JL speakers in my Jeep and can say they are a huge improvement over stock.

Wow, that's funny, I was literally thinking the exact opposite. I love the new Alpine setup. The sub is OK, not great, but it gets the job done.

To my ears, this is the best "stock" audio system I have ever heard. I mean really, if you turned the volume all the way up, your ears would bleed. The 3-band EQ adequately makes the system sound better.

I'm not really sure why people don't like it. Sure, it's no after market setup, but it sounds way better than any other stock setup I've heard.

I thought it lists as a 10 inch subwoofer from the factory specs but I havent measured it yet, also if you dont mess with the eq setting like someone else said your not going to get anything spectacular,

its not going to get uber preformance off your factory deck anyway if you want preformance out of it youll haft to change out your deck to push more power to the speakers or if you really need the neighborhood to shake put another 10 in it and swap the 500 watt amp for a alpine 1,000 watt thats the same size.

Even though its one of the better sounding factory systems Ive heard and the base from the stock alpine system can shake the windows on my house from the drive way sooo..........yeah weak I guess.
