No deal
Monte,
Yes, I got a great deal, but that is what it took for me to buy it. I turned it down THREE times before the price got too good to pass on. I wanted a quad not a crew. I really prefer SLT over Sport. It had more equipment on it than I would have ordered, but I got much more truck for less money by buying the demo. It has some dealer ads too since it was a demo, so it is a better deal than the $17K off.
I guess you could say that since I did not get the truck that I wanted that it was not the truck to buy, but for $24K, I could not pass on it. I really do miss the missing 8 inches of bed length, but not $5K worth.
Let me know what Chris tells you.

Being Saturday he is going to call me on Monday to see what he can do. He said they had a little better pricing 2 months ago when you bought but he is calling me Monday. Maybe he can get me close and I will fly down to Dallas fromTulsa,Ok if he can save me a $2000 or so. That would be well worth it.Thanks Bill I'll let you know on Monday.
My truck stickered for 44,800. I traded in a 06 charger for $14,000 which was higher than KBB and owed $20,000 on it. That's $6,000 in negative equity and i walked out the door for $32,000. That's $12,000 off sticker plus the other $6,000 the dealer had to absorb on my trade in for a total of $18,000 in savings......But the dealers out here are really hurting, not too much interest in trucks so maybe they figured they could turn the Charger around for a good profit. Had 22's, exhaust, tint, and a couple small things. Anyway i went to 3 dealers and each one of them begged for my service. I also recieved a military discount and a loyalty discount which was $2,000 so not everyone can qualify for that. They threw in 3 yrs of free maintenance. I'm happy
You may think $12000 is good but wait until you find out in a year or two that the value dropped greatly due to others buying there truck for as much as $17000 off. When people got deals for the same truck that is $5000 better your depreciation is going to be at least $10000 first year. There are some on here that bought in December and paid $24000 for a truck that stickered for $41000. I am looking at a truck that also stickers for about the same $41000 and would settle for $15000 off but that is it.

well then good luck to you.
i still think that much off the truck is a good deal.
Monte,
The price you get off of MSRP depends on the factory money that is available to the dealer. I think that Dodge took some off the table when they brought out zero financing. Don't forget that my truck was a demo that saved me another $3-4K. Heck it was yellow too, who wants a yellow truck??? $12-13K maybe all you can get off MSRP.

Well I just put my order in for a Sport Crew 4x4 last night. Here in Canada the MSRP was 53,515 and we got it for approx 42,500, so 11K off (all in CDN funds). If I convert it to US funds it looks like this: MSRP 41,456 paid approx 32,800 for a savings of 8,650.
Am I happy paying that much when I bought my 98 Ram Sport QuadCab 4x4 for 31k? Not really but that was 10 years ago, so in that time has the price of materials and the advancements made to the Rams, made it worth 11.5k more?
Time will tell.

I agree with you Dr Bill. I wish they would bring back the discounts instead of 0% for 48. For the $3500 in interest at 5% I would rather pay $25000 for the truck and Finance the $25000. If something goes bad in the household such as job or something I could sell the truck for less of a loss. Now if everything goes well like then it will not matter for the 0% will catch up. I called Chris back yesterday and still no return call. He said he was busy yesterday from the weekend. It is now 11:30 and still no call. Don't sound like he can do anymore then the $12000 off. I'll keep trying. I know some people finally did get their truck for as much as $15000 off this last month.
