Default No deal

I have already been approved by Dodge for 0% for 48. I emailed and called the South Point dealer in Austin that one of our members said they bought a over $40000 sticker for $26000 plus they gave him 130% for trade. I have no trade and offered the $15000 off sticker and I would buy and they said not even close. Best they would do was $12000 off. I told them someone had just gotten $15000 off and they said didn't happen. I said I can buy for $12000 off right here in Oklahoma. I told him we will see what happens next month or I may just go a different direction.

That's vehicle shopping. A sale happens when both parties agree on a price. In your case, it didn't happen. Out of curiosity, did you actually see the paper work on the vehicle that one of "our members" said they purchased an over 40K truck for $26K and +130% on trade? If my math is correct that's a 35% reduction (40K down to 26K). IMO, a 15% to 20% discount would be more realistic with employee pricing+cash incentives, etc.

They're a hike away but try getting a quote from Dave Smith Motors up in Idaho. They're the largest Dodge dealer in the whole country. They do business a little differently than any other dealer, so they give you a few extra k off. For most people the issue is the distance.

What I did is got a quote from them and then got my local dealer to not just match it but beat it. The key to doing this is to get two local dealers to fight over you. The bigger they are the easier it is. Its worth a shot.

Even if you end up using Dave Smith, which a buddy of mine did. They will pick you up from the airport and have your truck ready for you when you get there. Good luck.

4x4 SLT Crew

$43,500 MSRP (CND)
$13,841 discounts

$29,659 sale price (CND) converts to $23,300 (USD)

Front/rear slush mats, molded mud flaps, rubber bed mat/tailgate cover, chrome fuel door, chrome bug deflector, wheel locks & nitrogen tossed in to seal the deal. Dealer also ate the final 8 months of my '08 lease.

Goofy I tried dealing with SouthPoint and they flat out lied to me to get me to go to the dealership.
I
ended up getting a SLT Quad Cab Hemi in Georgetown TX about 25min norht of the SP Dealership got 11k off MSRP was $32900 got it for $21900 there was 10k off on all Rams with a Hemi then talked them into another 1k off.
This took place last Monday the 23rd.

Monte,
I remember reading the thread that you referenced. Maybe he will chime in on his deal. I did in fact get $17K off mine, but it was a 3K mile demo. MSRP for $41K, bought it for $24K. It came from Frank Kent Dodge in Fort Worth. Call the sales mgr, Chris @ 817-696-4258. Maybe he can help you out. They just added Dodge to their dealership last year and have been very aggressive on pricing to get some business.

Thanks Bill. I'll call and give them a try. Wow $17000 off. That would be killer. I could get my Laramie even at $15000 off would get it done. It stickers for around $46600. That would be $31600 and that is doable.
