Uconnect GPS and IPhone
Waiting for my first truck, Hemi Laramie with AWD (refer to my lasts psots!!!) I'm starting to get more questions.
Apparently there are issues in between IPhone and Uconnect.
Solutions?
Thanks for your help

I just got a brand new '09 Dodge Challenger SE, and when I try to pair the phone with the MyGig radio, the phone doesn't even appear as a device listed in the menu. I've reset the phone, tried turning airport mode on and off, all to no avail. Can anyone tell me how to go from here? It seems crazy that the iphone won't work with this system. I've seen a lot on boards about updating the radio software, but since my car is under a month old, I don't think that's the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My contacts aren't set up to sync, but I find that when I try to make a call that it seems to cut in and out. Anyone else find this? I can make the command to dial a contact and it does, but then seems to take a while to connect and the conversation is really choppy. Not to mention it will throw the music back on in the middle of the
conversation.

Im glad im not the only one with this problem. This seems to be getting out of hand many of these posts are 6 months old and some are older. You'd think that a company like apple would want to resolve a major issue like this. IF SOMEBODY DISCOVERS A FIX FOR THIS PLEASE LET ME NO.
So as my truck will arrive in a couple of weeks, start to wondering...
Thanks

No problems with my iPhone & 09 Ram mygig. The only issue was with the iPhone connection options & I checked with my local Apple store when I first set it up last November. They showed me an option to select on the iPhone that I hadn't noticed. Don't remember now what it was but they were very helpful and the connection then went off without a hitch. All mygig functions worked perfectly as soon as hookup was accomplished.
I have paired my first gen iphone withmygig on my 2009 challenger SRT8 Hemi and had no problems with the phone at all, however I'm wondering why I can't play music via USB conection, see pretty poor effort this mygig.
Does anyone know of any apple cables that will allow music via USB on this car?

There was a moment when Apple came with software 2.0 on iPhone and all of those problems were coming up with UConnect and MyGig. Once they've update to 2.1 and up (I got 2.2 unlocked in Canada) You have no problems whatsoever.
I still don't have my truck, but spent at least an hour at my dealer in one of their 09 Ram with Mygig and Uconnect and let me tell ya. Everything works fine. I got my phone paired up in no time, It downloaded the phone book by itself. It was the best marriage of the car and phone ever. So don't you worry, you're gonna be just fine.

Did you actually try to make a call though? My iPhone with the most updated software would pair without a problem, download the address book with no issue, but then when time came to actually make a call it would crap out and have all kinds of problems. I ended up downgrading the iPhone software to 2.1 and everything works fine, well except that a number of Apps don't work anymore and the phone drops calls more often that it did with the updated software. But thats the small price I am currently willing to pay to have the phone connect without issues. Hopefully iPhone 3.0 software will fix everything.
Some of what I have heard seems to be based off your iPhone contacts list. I have mine setup as a 'PUSH' service and its not an option for me to disable that.
