Roger Beasley did an amazing job on my '07 after someone hit it. Couldn't even tell any work had been done. They also took care of all of my paperwork for me and have a Hertz rental car place on site. I would definitely recommend them.

I have hail phobia pretty badly myself. It seems like everytime it rains in TX, you just might get hail. I live in FTW and we got some very small almost tiny sleet like yesterday. When it looks like a thunderstorm, I do the same thing thinking about places to hide. Gas stations work pretty well, especially the large ones. It is that time of the year. My 02 QC got creamed in May 03, but PDR did a great job. I have been told that they can't do alum.. You may be looking at paint work on the hood.

Just find a shop that will let you use the cost of a replacement hood toward the hood with the scoop.

I live in Round Rock also. On Tuesday, I finally decided to clean the garage and the ram barely fitted inside. I was in NY Wed when my buddy called while driving. His rear windows was busted by golf ball size hail and had dents all over the car. My sister's car got rear ended and hail damage at the same.

Ok so I washed the truck today and 95% of the damage is to the hood with about 50 dents about 5 on the top of the cab and only found 1 other one on the driver side front qtr panel.

Seems the aluminum is not very tuff!!!

Im happy to find it was not as bad as I had first thought.

Sure hope I can find a way to swing getting the hood with the scoop on it at no cost, lol I dont think it will happen.

Hope you get the new hood...I live in RR also but I made it to a car wash before the hail came. Now that I think about it I should have stuck the hood out so that I could get the new one with the scoops......good luck man!

Oh, and I have always used Anderson Lane Body Shop for all of my repairs! They do excellent work!

To get the hood it's simple. Get quotes from shops yourself to fix all of it. Go to your insurance company give them the quote and they cut you a check. They will try to low ball you and say that you can only use their shop or list of shops. The check is simply a settlement for your loss. Depending on the isurance company, they will "guantee" the repair if you use one of their shops. Get the check yourself. Buy the hood and have it painted. Fix what else is there.

I would imagine any shop will do this considering it will cost less to fix it than to replace the hood and paint it.

Just my .02
