Default Dam Hail Storm!!!

My shiny new truck has well over 100 new dents from the stupid hail storm.

By the way I live in Round Rock TX, about 20 min from down town Austin.

Hmm, now thats an idea I like.

I see the claims guy friday they will be giving me a check but its a two party check not sure if I can get a shop to work with me in a way that gets me a new hood, and my wife Im sure will not like to hear that its costing us anything beyond the $240 deductible.

I feel your pain brother - I would be livid! Raised in Oregon I never knew hail could damage a vehicle until I moved to CO. Now I live in fear of this very thing and I have dodged (no pun intended) big hail more than once. I always keep in mind where the overpasses, spray car washes etc. are so I can get under them for cover if need be. I also carry a few sleeping bags behind the seat to toss over the hood and roof if need be. This once saved my 04 Ram's panels but not before I got nailed in the head a few times putting it on. My wife used to make fun of my "hail phobia" until her car was totaled about 4 years ago.........The paintless dent repair places can work miracles if done right, don’t know about aluminum though.

Default Hail Storm

Man... I just missed that storm. Was driving back from Dallas and heard about it on the radio, then called the shop and they said they were in the process of getting nailed. I missed it literally by minutes... was ready to pull over under an overpass if need be.

My wife's H3 got nailed HARD last year by hail ranging in size form golf ***** to 3" in diameter and it fared really well... only a few large dings on the roof. I'm convinced the H3 has much thicker panels.... luckily we have low deductibles.

And that sounds like a great excuse for a new hood..... Should put you a few hundred closer than otherwise. Might as well make something positive out of the experience.
