Outside Temperature Gauge...
PER CHRYSLER:
For all vehicles with an outside temperature display: Before performing any repairs, note that the system displays the last known temperature when starting the vehicle and may take some time/mileage to update to an accurate current reading. Customers with very short commutes may not get an updated reading before the vehicle is turned off. This strategy was intended to eliminate wildly fluctuating readings and may cause some customer confusion leading to unnecessary diagnostics/parts replacements.

But when you're driving for over an hour and the temp is 60 and reading 45, something is wrong I would believe.
Personally, I'd rather have them leave it out if they can't figure it out. The aftermarket one works great for me; Roll the window down, stick your hand out, and you immediately get one of the 5 readings. Realfncold, chilly, warm, hot, or realfnhot.
