Default remote going dead?

In the last couple of days my remote seems to be going dead, it starts on the remote but have to hit button to unlock several times, once I had to set grocerys down and finally hit start button again which killed it and after several more attempts to unlock I hit the button to lock and it did. then tryed to unlock and it did, just went to post office, took a couple trys to unlock, got home and stood behind truck and tryed several times to unlock, nothing, went in and got wifes remote, one hit and it starts ,one hit to unlock, got mine out and tryed again and it works perfect,up till yesterday it would start truck as soon as I stepped out of building at work( about a 100 yds) anybody else have problems?

I'm not sure I follow your post completely but I can say that the remote I've been using for a couple of weeks now does not always respond.

Sometimes I too have to hit or hold the lock button to get the truck to respond. I thought it might be interference?

I always used the Viper 1 mile range remote. I will be checking into the 5901 when they have the needed parts for the 09 Ram.

I've had the same problem now twice now. Took it to the dealer and they said the computer threw a code that the battery in the remote was low so they replaced it under warranty.

thanks, I will drop by dealer tomorrow and tell them and see if there is a problem with the battery, in my first post the short version is the remote start button will work from a 100 yards away but the unlock and lock buttons sometimes need to be hit many times even when your next to the truck but may work perfect the next time with one hit, wifes remote works good all the time

I am having the same issue. Works great most of the time, but will not work sometimes. The lock and unlock buttons. I couldn't open the doors, so I used the key and set off the alarm to my surprise. Then I could not get the alarm to shut off with the panic button for a couple minutes. Seems to work better from a distance. Worse when next to the truck.
